With MYT Works’ Opti-Glide and Grounded OG Compact, The Front in Sydney takes their camera and lens checkouts to the next level—combining precision, flexibility, and stability in one seamless system.
One of MYT Works’ earliest international installations took place at The Front, a premier camera rental house in Sydney, following our success at Loca Images in Paris. Since January 2020, their Opti-Glide has been hard at work, ensuring seamless camera checkouts for over four years.
Recently, Sonny and his team recognized the growing demand in their lens department and decided to step things up with an Opti-Glide Compact, pictured below with an array of rehoused lenses from the artists at True Lens Services. This new systems adds versatility to their offerings with the ability to test lenses using a compact projector.
The Front opted for a Grounded OG Compact configuration, a semi-permanent installation anchored directly into the ground with base flanges. This solution provides the same stability and precision as the ceiling-mounted Opti-Glide with added flexibility—allowing it to be uninstalled and relocated if needed, with minimal effort.
The combination of the original Opti-Glide and the Grounded OG Compact system offers a streamlined and efficient setup for companies like The Front, enabling a more comprehensive and precise camera and lens checkout process while maintaining flexibility for future growth.
To compliment their existing Opti-Glide, The Front went with an 8ft Grounded Opti-Glide Compact to meet the needs of their growing and flexible company.
