This particular installation at Band-Pro serves two different purposes. This unique setup provides in-house lens technicians with the means to check lenses for Angenieux whom they represent exclusively in the U.S. and a variety of other film lenses before they are sent to their customers.
VIDEODESIGN srl
VIDEODESIGN srl, a leader in Milan’s camera rental and lens servicing community, has introduced Italy’s first Opti-Glide installation with a 24 ft dual-carriage system. This configuration doubles lens checkout capacity within the same footprint, allowing simultaneous checkouts with an additional moving focus chart.

Grandé Caméra is a hub of cinematic expertise serving diverse productions from narrative films to reality shows. We installed a custom 15-foot underslung Opti-Glide system at their Montreal location, integrating existing ceiling structures for maximum clearance and flexibility. We collaborated with T-Mobile’s in-house team to design a system tailored to their high-turnover workflow for lenses and cameras, ensuring seamless integration between storage, checkout, field use, and maintenance. SUNSTUDIOS
In Sydney, where commercial real estate is at a premium, SUNSTUDIOS has made a dynamic hub that includes camera rental and checkout, a seamless studio for photo and video work, and gathering spaces for creatives. Two custom 15 ft system, mounted to a low ceiling with minimal exposed hardware, matches their open, industrial look and made great use of space where ceilings were low.

DbV Rentals opted for an 8’ Freestanding OG Compact to complement their trio of 18’ Opti-Glides, and act as a “floating” checkout bay perfect for peak periods. This system is an indispensable tool for their lens technicians, enabling in-house lens testing and calibration by way of a reversible 2-in-1 focus chart and projection board.

This is our first Canadian OG Compact installation. Simmod Lens opted for an 8′ Opti-Glide with a custom advanced TERA focus chart that also features a projector chart on the other side. This reversible chart enables the OG Compact to function as a dual system for both camera checkout and lens calibration purposes.

Coming in at 35 feet, the Opti-Glide Reticle provides the industry’s first real-time calibration-free Instant Distance Digital Read-Out along with Calibration-free Encoder, Handwheel Drive System, Motor and keyboard complete with preset capabilities. This remains the largest Opti-Glide Reticle system we’ve ever installed, making it the world’s largest Reticle.

This facility boasts Australia’s longest Opti-Glide Reticle system, a 30-foot track mounted on a custom-designed steel structure beneath an active mezzanine. This configuration addresses spatial challenges, such as “strata” building restrictions and maintaining traffic flow, while providing a versatile setup for lens testing & calibration, with a custom curtain structure for flexible blacked-out areas and a floating pedestal tailored to the facility’s needs.

Their offerings have grown over the years, from mounts, to lens rehousing and caps, to modern anamorphic lenses. Being in the business of manufacturing, repairing, rehouseing, and testing lenses mean that this team has a high standard for precision and a technical aptitude to match.
